To support the training needs QLS—Staffordshire County Council will draw on the expertise of a team of staff with the relevant occupational expertise and who are A1/V1 assessor-verifier qualified.

As a minimum all trainers will be qualified to Level 03-04 Employment NTO NoS. All staff are involved in performance review; professional development reviews and professional development planning in accordance with IIP.

The majority of other staff on the team are Curriculum Advisers and OfSTED trained Curriculum Inspectors and or AB approved EV’s.

Centrally delivered training is delivered from the County’s 3 main school workforce training centres, at Kingston, Seabridge and Burton on Trent. Each of these centres gives learners access to full conference facilities, IT training rooms and a team of administrative and technical support staff who manage event booking and the production of training and learning support materials and resources.

QLS have adopted an innovative approach to the recruitment of apprenticeships within the Teaching Assistants Framework and have been instrumental in developing the roles of both Science and Sports technicians, formally acknowledging their skills and expertise within the qualifications framework.
