- Graduate & Registered Teacher Programme
Our Vision
To enhance school improvement through the effective recruitment, retention and development of a quality school workforce.
This vision has been developed from the key service objective of the Children and Young Person’s Directorate, “Sufficient and
effective self-managing schools” and from Local Priority Six within the Education Development Plan – “Developing schools’
capacity to be self-managing.” It is integral to supporting the delivery of the County Council’s corporate and Directorate objectives
and policies in relation to schools.
Overall Aim
To support schools in the planning and development of their workforce through a process of continuous improvement, building on
well developed and successful partnership approaches and activities, with tangible outcomes for school improvement and the
quality of teaching and learning.
